Problem: Create a line of fragrances for fictional Body Armor men's deodorant. Create a set of three separate, distinct designs that communicate different attitudes but belong in the same family.
Solution: Aiming at teenage boys, I utilized sleek typography, bold color, texture and imagery to create my product line. I played off of different types of armor and created different aesthetics to match. Since there is no precedent for how something called "Tactic" should smell, I used texture and abstract illustration to visually communicate how each would smell. I took influence from Wrigley Company's 5 Gum and how they use color and texture to communicate complex flavors like "Rain" instead of the traditional "spearmint" labeling. I wanted to give my designs energy and a variety personality.
